I mentioned last week that it isn’t just about willpower.
Willpower ebbs and flows. Sometimes it’s stronger than other times… but it’s only as strong as you expect it to be. No wonder relying on willpower alone leads to burnout and 80% of people giving up by February!
What you really need are strategies for sustainable habit change. The kind of strategies that work even when your willpower is running on fumes and has to be pushed by hand to the gas station with its warning lights blinking. The kind that fit into your actual life, not some idealized version where you have endless time and energy.
And there's another piece to this puzzle that most people miss: your subconscious mind.
Connecting with your subconscious can unlock all kinds of things you can’t access with your conscious. It can improve creativity, memory, problem-solving skills and learning abilities, and help you bust through any mental blocks that can be holding you back.

One of the fastest, most surefire ways is through a breathing technique called conscious connected breathing.
This breath delivers a lot more oxygen than you usually take in, which leads to something fascinating. The thinking part of your brain actually shuts up for a change and gets a much needed rest.

This is like hitting the ultimate reset button on old patterns and beliefs that might be holding you back – the ones you might not even realize are there.
